The CCM Investment Advisers SC 20 is an equal weighted index of 20 publicly traded companies domiciled in South Carolina.  CCM Investment Advisers, LLC does not offer any investment products based on the SC 20 Index and does not recommend utilizing the information as an investment strategy.
 

 

 
Investor Caution
It should be noted that the SC 20 is not an investment strategy, but is rather an interesting exercise in assessing the performance
of stocks of companies domiciled in South Carolina.  There are a number of problems with a strategy of buying the basket of stocks
comprising the SC 20.  First and most obvious, there is a significant geographic concentration. While we are not aware of any studies
 that examine the correlation of risk and geographic concentration, it is obvious such risks such as weather, e.g. hurricanes, do exist. 
A second risk would be industry concentration, as the SC 20 is not broadly diversified across industries.  Furthermore, several of the
companies included in the SC 20 are micro-cap stocks, the prices of which are very volatile.
